I have been designing and making jewelry since
1973. I've lived in Hawaii for the past 20 years, since 1997 on the Big
Island of Hawaii in the upcountry town of Wiamea (a.k.a. Kamuela).
My designs have evolved into a simple elegance as I try not to overpower
the gemstones. The Hawaii Jeweler's Assn has recognized my talents with
7 design awards, the most recent a First Place in the Diamond category.
I have studied gemstones at the Gemological Institute of America. Rare
and unusual gemstones like icy blue gem Chrysocolla, transluscent cabochons
and "tongue and bullet" cut stones as well as colorful Tahitian Black Pearls,
Rubys, and gems with optical phenomena are my favorites often accentuated
with diamonds.
